While interning for CHRISTUS Health's Communication team, I was able to recognize the importance of providing patients with clear and concise information that guides them through routine procedures and examinations. When creating patient information pamphlets, I prioritize empathy and understanding, recognizing that patients may feel anxious or unsure about what to expect during these procedures. Through thoughtful and thorough research, I work to anticipate any concerns or questions patients may have and address them in an approachable and understandable manner. By providing patients with clear and empathetic guidance, I aim to reduce stress and increase their confidence and comfort as they move through these processes. For example, when creating information pamphlets for routine procedures such as x-rays and mammograms, I focus on breaking down each step of the process in a clear and simple manner, outlining what to expect during the procedure and providing tips to help patients feel more at ease.
